Charles Louis Philippot, a native French painter in the service of the Schwarzenbergs, a number of portraits of significant personalities of families which owned the Český Krumlov castle - Rosenbergs, Eggenbergs and Schwarzenbergs. Among his most well-known paintings we can find the portraits of Ulrich II. von Rosenberg, Wilhelm von Rosenberg, and Peter Wok von Rosenberg, or a portrait of the Erkinger family founder from the Schwarzenberg clan. He also made many copies of older pictures, and he decorated the Český Krumlov castle chapel with the altar paintings. He also painted the portraits of prominent wealthy citizens in Český Krumlov. We can find his paintings in the collections of the State Castle in Český Krumlov or in the District National Museum in Český Krumlov.
