This Renaissance artist
of Dutch descent served as a painter in the courts of the last
Rosenbergs. In 1570 - 1573 he created the Renaissance painting
decorations of the newly-rebuilt castle in Bechyně. In the late
1570\'s he was entrusted by Wilhelm von
Rosenberg to paint the fresco facade on the IIIrd
Courtyard of Český Krumlov Castle as well as painting some of
the state rooms of the castle and Renaissance rooms (see Renaissance
Rooms of Český Krumlov Castle). His student and successor was
Bartoloměj
Beránek. He lived at Latrán
no. 15 in Český Krumlov.
