Pauline zu Schwarzenberg

Pavlina originally came
from a Belgian aristocratic family. In 1794 she married Josef zu
Schwarzenberg. She excelled over her contemporaries with her
exceptional intelligence and artistic talent. Her private teacher
of drawing and painting was the Schwarzenberg court painter
Ferdinand
Runk. She is an author of many graphic papers. She tragically
died in 1810 at a ball in Paris that was held on the occasion of
the engagement of Napoleon and Princess of Austria Marie Louisa.
She died at the young age of 36. She was the mother of 9 children,
three of them sons - Johann Adolf
II. zu Schwarzenberg, Felix zu
Schwarzenberg, and Friedrich zu
Schwarzenberg.
