Don Julius d´Austria

Don Julius Caesar d´Austria was born the oldest son of the emperor Rudolf II. von Habsburg and Kareřina Stradová, a woman with whom he had supposedly six children. The emperor chose the town of Český Krumlov as d´Austria\'s seat, and he arrived for the first time in 1605. While here, he invited a daughter of a barber called Markéta Pichlerová to the castle in 1608, then brutally murdered her in an attack of madness. Rudolf II wasted no time on his mentally disturbed son and, on his command, Don Julius was sentenced to life in jail, where he soon died. His story became the point of many tales.
