He came from Linz to
Český Krumlov in 1669 and became a painter at the court of Johann
Christian I. von Eggenberg. He painted vedutas of the
Eggenbergs\' towns and seats, portraits, maps, theatre decorations
for the Český Krumlov theatre and wall-paintings. His paintings in
Kratochvíle castle, Vimperk and Seftenberg in Austria have been
preserved. The most famous of his wall-paintings are the Schwarzenberg
and Eggenberg
coats-of-arms situated above the entrance to the living wing of the
former minorite
monastery in Český Krumlov.
