Ferdinand Runk

Ferdinand Runk was a student on the Academy in Vienna. At the beginning of the 19th century he entered the Schwarzenberg service as court painter and landscape-painter. Prince Josef zu Schwarzenberg entrusted him to paint most of the family estates in the Czech and Austrian countries. Most of his pictures were done in 1803 - 1810. He also was the teacher of drawing and painting of Pauline zu Schwarzenberg and her children. More than a hundred of his pictures are a part of the collection of the State Castle and Chateau of Český Krumlov.
